🇬🇧 THE U.K. HAS OPENED FCA AUTHORIZATION FOR CRYPTO FIRMS 👀

As of the end of September, crypto companies can formally apply for authorization under the U.K.'s new regulatory framework.

Firms intending to continue operating in the country should apply by February 28, 2027, before the broader regime takes effect this month on October 25, 2027.

The FCA says firms will be assessed on:

✅ Consumer protection
✅ Safeguarding customer assets
✅ Market integrity
✅ Financial resilience
✅ Meeting FCA authorization standards

In other words 👉 The U.K. is moving Bitcoin and crypto businesses further inside its established financial regulatory system.

The framework covers activities including trading platforms, custody, dealing, arranging transactions and staking.

Existing registrations will not automatically convert into authorization, and approval is not guaranteed.

This is bigger than another consultation.

The regulatory gateway is officially open.
