Everyone picks the wrong mountain.

Jungfraujoch gets all the hype, but if you only have one day in the Bernese Oberland, I’d send you to Grindelwald First every time. Here’s what to know before you book:

☝️ The gondola ticket and the adventure activities are two separate purchases. The cable car doesn’t include the First Flyer, the First Glider, or the mountain carts — decide before you book.

✌️ But the Cliff Walk IS included. A metal walkway bolted to the rock face at 2,168 meters, a 40-meter suspension bridge, and a platform that juts 45 meters out over the valley with nothing underneath it.

🤟 Don’t do the walk and get straight back on the gondola — that’s the mistake. It ends right at the terrace of Berggasthaus First, where you’re looking at the Eiger, Wetterhorn and Schreckhorn from your table. Get the Cliffhanger Cordon Bleu and stay an hour.

🖖 Have a Swiss Travel Pass or Half Fare Card? You get a discounted rate, but you have to enter your Ticket ID when you book or the reservation gets cancelled.
