📍 Leopard sharks — La Jolla Shores
They come in every summer and fall and there are usually hundreds of them. Completely harmless, and they hang out in shallow water right by the Marine Room, so you barely have to swim out. Mornings are calmest and clearest. It’s a marine protected area, so look but don’t touch.

📍 Art Magic — Bankers Hill artmagic_sd 
So many DIY classes to choose from. Johannes and I made our own resin cheese boards and got to take them home — such a fun date night, and you leave with an actual souvenir. 2399 Fifth Ave.

📍 Sea cave — Sunset Cliffs
The open-ceiling cave near Luscomb’s Point. You have to time this one right — the tide needs to be negative, not just low — and I really recommend water shoes. A little scrambly, but so worth it.
