#TSRUpdatez: After the failed execution of Tennessee inmate, #ChristaPike, updates about her condition continue to roll in. In an interview with bbcradio4, a member of her legal team reportedly said that she had gotten up to walk since being hospitalized.

Lawyer Stephen Ferrell shared that although he hasn’t spoken to Pike directly, he learned that she was moving around her hospital room for the first time while still being mentally “foggy.”

He said, “She is up and walking for the first time today, but just around the room, not very far.” Pike is reportedly still experiencing the post-effects of the drug pentobarbital, which she was injected with during last week’s attempted execution.

Ferrell told BBC that Pike is doing  “fairly well” and added, “What’s been described to me is that physically there’s quite a bit going on, that her arms are very injured and she’s not able to use them very much.”

When it comes to her mental state, Ferrell said, “I think it’s kind of good and bad. Good that she is fairly with it, but she’s also somewhat foggy. She can lose her train of thought really easily and forgets where she’s going.”

As previously reported, Pike was sentenced to death 30 years ago after she and her boyfriend at the time murdered Colleen Slemmer. Since the failed execution, a court ordered the state of Tennessee to preserve all evidence related to the attempted execution, which could possibly be used for a future lawsuit against the state.
