The next chapter of Hyundai Motor's long-term partnership with Tate is about to begin.

Opening on October 13, 2026, Hyundai Commission: Tarek Atoui marks the 11th commission in the series and the beginning of a new decade of support for ambitious artistic experimentation in Tate Modern's (tate) Turbine Hall.

Artist and composer Tarek Atoui transforms the Turbine Hall into an orchestra that connects earth and sky. For over two decades, he has been exploring sound as a shared practice. This October through April 2027, a multisensory installation makes the most of the space's unique volumes and acoustic properties, drawing on sound, sculpture, and technology to create an embodied and collective sonic experience.
