Jim Ross is in recovery after a second brain surgery on Wednesday morning.

Conrad Thompson, his co-host on Grilling JR, said he heard from Ross' daughter. "Procedure went well. He is in recovery right now. Will hopefully be heading home around 3," Thompson wrote.

Ross, 74, announced the surgery on Monday night and said it was "to address an issue with my shunt." On Tuesday's Grilling JR, he said his surgeon had already switched the shunt off after a CT scan found bleeding, which he said was the cause of his headaches.

"I'm still on the road to recovery, and I'm very optimistic that the results are going to be good," Ross said.

The shunt was fitted on August 12 to drain excess fluid from his brain. We wish JR a full recovery.
