We had the chance to talk to filmmaker, artist, and writer, Leopoldo Goût about his recently released horror novel, ROOTED. Now seemed like the perfect time to feature a book that not only recognizes Latin Heritage Month, but also blends that theme with the darker undertones of October! 👻 In this interview, we discussed Aztec lore, blending illusion and reality through the eyes of the main character, Aurora, and the impact that different types of art have on the viewer.

If you’re in the mood for something eerie, mysterious, and/or psychologically distressing, ROOTED should be added to your TBR. 📚✨
