If you sit down to write social media posts and come up totally blank, think smaller.

Most of the time, when people plan topics for a post, they shoot very broad.

They’ll start with, “How to be an effective leader,” and then stare at a blank document.

And don’t get me wrong – there’s nothing wrong with that prompt.

But that’s an entire course, not a Linkedin post.

There’s too much information to share, so you can’t figure out how to share any of it at all.

The more you hone in on a subject, the easier it is to write.

(& the more likely you are to find those personal bits that make the post actually worth reading.)

That’s where you’re going to find starts like...

✨ “I sent an employee to mandatory empathy training, and his reaction caught me completely off guard.”

✨ “The marketing team presented a campaign that sent the completely wrong message. Here’s why that’s actually my fault.”

✨ “Hot take: The most effective leaders do less, not more. Let me explain”

Share one thought, and dig in as deeply as possible.

If you find yourself veering off course, steal these – you’ve got the start for your next post (or 3).

Because the great thing is, 100 people can start their post with any one of those sentences.

Each one would be wildly different.

Each one would absolutely be valuable.
