For the first time in more than a decade, voters in Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District may not have a chance to see their candidates debate going into Election Day.

Republican U.S. Rep. Zach Nunn and Democratic challenger Sarah Trone Garriott haven't reached an agreement about scheduling any debates, and the window for doing so is rapidly narrowing.

It is the only congressional race in the state where debates may not occur. Televised debates have been scheduled and, in some cases, are already underway in the 1st, 2nd and 4th districts.

Each campaign argues the other is the obstacle in negotiations with KCCI in Des Moines.
