October 8th is National Salmon Day! For this region, you can find predominantly Chinook salmon in the Sacramento River.  For today, Channey letterpress printed an electrotype (copy) of a halftone depicting a salmon. We received this halftone a year ago from one of our followers, Tim, in Monterey, California. This was printed with pink (mix of red and opaque white) rubber base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852. #SacHistoryMuseum #NationalSalmonDay #salmon #museumtok #printing
