This company is digitizing all life on Earth.

They’re building a massive AI model that can DNA sequence every living thing.

It’s kinda like a modern version of Noah’s Ark, but on steroids.

And here’s the craziest part, to find the rarest species to add to their database, they send scientists to the most remote locations in the world.

Volcanoes, Antarctica, even WWII shipwrecks.

The company’s called Basecamp.

And what they’ve discovered is gonna change the course of human history.

Now Basecamp started with a simple vision…understand the hidden secrets of nature.

Their goal was to help drive new scientific breakthroughs by DNA sequencing undiscovered species.

Now the way they do this is super interesting.

Basecamp scientists travel to remote locations and collect samples of soil, slime and seawater.

From there they use high strength DNA sequencers to decode the genetic biodiversity.

Each teaspoon of soil they collect can have more living things in it than the total amount of humans on Earth.

And that means the diversity of organisms, and their rare properties, can be extremely unique.

For example, in Antarctica, they found bacteria that can make its own water out of thin air.

Or at the WWII shipwreck, they found bacteria that could eat heavy metals.

These unique properties could drive massive breakthroughs in medicine, healthcare, and biotech.

Now Basecamp’s database has already sequenced over 1,000,000 different species…that’s 10x bigger than any other biology database in the world.

And this is huge because human progress in biology has stalled due to a lack of new data.

In other words, scientists have used up everything we already know.

That’s why this is such a big deal.

Basecamp’s unique dataset is gonna unlock the next frontier for massive human breakthroughs.
