This is my new Video Researcher.

It’s an AI agent that automatically sends me a daily briefing of top tech stories that I can use to make new videos.

This Video Researcher has already saved me dozens of hours per month.

And I built the whole thing in Microsoft Copilot Studio.

If you run a business, you need to learn how to build AI agents.

And I’m gonna show you exactly how I do it.

First, you’re gonna log into Microsoft Copilot Studio and create a new agent from scratch.

And the most important step is that you’re going to define the instructions for your agent.

Think of this like the step by step logic you want it to follow on a repeated basis.

So for me, I’m having my Video Researcher scan email newsletters, tech blogs, and social media to aggregate the best tech stories.

Then, I’m having it rank each story by calculating a shock factor and a shareability score.

Each time it runs, it shares the top 5 ranked stories based on those scores, gives me a title, description, key facts and applicable links.

And all of this is pre-defined in the Instructions.

Next, I’m gonna add in knowledge.

And these are all the specific sources you want your agent to connect to.

Now for my agent, I’m mostly using public websites since this is designed for research.

So at this point, my agent knows what to do, from the instructions, and where to look for that information, from the knowledge.

Lastly, you want to set up a Trigger.

For mine, I want this briefing sent to me everyday at 8AM, so boom, there it is.

Super straightforward and easy to set up.

And just like that, I have a Video Researcher that proactively sweeps public sources for viral-worthy tech gems, ranks them for max impact, and runs daily at 8AM for me.

This is the future of business with Microsoft Copilot Studio – “agentifying your to-do list”
