The Cornell University case is reigniting conversations about a lawsuit filed against Loyola University in 2022. Ten young women say they were all sexually assaulted when they were Loyola students.

NBC 5 Investigates has followed the case since these women first sued Loyola University. Now, with Cornell in the spotlight, some of these young women are asking their attorney for updates in their case.

However, Loyola University Chicago always prioritizes the safety of our students. As such, Loyola takes reports of sexual misconduct very seriously, and responds promptly, equitably, and in accordance with our legal and ethical responsibilities to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all. Supportive resources are available to any individuals affected, including assistance reporting to law enforcement, university reporting options, confidential advocacy support, counseling services, and academic assistance, where appropriate."
