Transforming 🦋

This journey showed me a strength I didn’t know I had. It taught me vulnerability (because I am a stubborn Capricorn that does not believe in asking for help 🫣). It taught me how to give myself grace and how to surrender, while accepting all the changes that were out of my control. It stretched me in so many ways that I wasn’t prepared for, and if you happened to see me you probably heard me say “I can’t believe I’m pregnant” because it was a daily shock, and sometimes hard to accept.

As a creative entrepreneur, I had so many fears and concerns during this process, and leaned on therapy, my village, and creative network for support and guidance. This journey is not often talked about, especially in the entrepreneurial space, where there is no one providing us health insurance, maternity leave, etc. The stories these women poured into me helped ease my worries and concerns during this process, and I’m excited to share them with the world because I know it will help another creative on this journey or preparing for this journey.
