One of the biggest business-owner misconceptions:
❌ Business card = deductible
❌ Personal card = not deductible

Neither is how it works.

The real question is:
What was the expense actually for?

A legitimate business expense doesn’t suddenly become personal just because you accidentally used your personal card.

And your groceries don’t suddenly become a business expense because you swiped the business Amex. 🛒😂

Business purpose + proper documentation matter.

Keeping separate business finances makes your accounting MUCH cleaner, but the card itself doesn’t determine whether something qualifies as a deduction.
