Stop 05 — Castillo de San Marcos

THE CHAMPION’S JOURNEY

You can’t tell the story of St. Augustine without this stop.

2025 St. Augustine Amateur Champion Adam Vermut and the Helmet arrive at the Castillo de San Marcos—an enduring symbol of the history and character that make America’s Oldest City unlike any other destination.

Standing along the Matanzas Bay for more than three centuries, the Castillo is a reminder that history here isn’t something you simply read about. It surrounds you.

For the players and families who travel to compete in the St. Augustine Amateur each December, championship golf is only part of the experience. Just beyond the course waits a destination filled with history, culture, coastline and experiences worth staying a little longer to discover.

Built to Stand the Test of Time.

One Champion. One Helmet. One Historic Destination.
