## Caption

David was a stranger when we met him, but his story quickly became something we will never forget. He lived through the Battle of Saipan and survived by staying in a cave with 15 people for three weeks while the conflict raged around them. In this video, he shares his memories of that time and what it took to endure it. His story is a powerful reminder that behind every face is a life we know nothing about. The people we meet every day may have lived through moments of history that shaped who they are. Sometimes all it takes is a conversation to uncover it 🙏 #saipan #northernmarianaislands #yestheory #worldwar2
