OsamaSon dropped his highly polarizing album ‘psykotic’ one year ago today 🍷❤️‍🔥

After over 1,000 unreleased tracks reportedly leaked, Lil O’s team went old-school, distributing burned CDs and portable players to select journalists. The production was so abrasive that Pitchfork and Billboard writers initially thought their equipment was malfunctioning 🎧

Much of the album came together during a weeklong recording camp at an LA mansion, where OsamaSon worked alongside close friends and producers Rok, gyro, and Warren Hunter 🌴🎛️

Designed by Stunmic, the controversial cover sparked debate over its religious imagery. OsamaSon later defended the artwork and revealed that even his mother approved.

The album also nodded to Atlanta trap history, with “Whats Happening” sampling Gucci Mane’s 2008 Zaytoven-produced track “Shirt Off” 🧊🔊

Across 17 tracks, Che was the sole featured artist, fresh off his own polarizing project ‘REST IN BASS.’ 🦇

‘psykotic’ debuted at No. 81 on the Billboard 200, surpassing ‘Jump Out,’ which peaked at No. 151 📈🏆

Where does ‘psykotic’ rank in OsamaSon’s discography? 👀
