THE CAST

I have a bunch of stuff I want to post after last night. As I thought about what I should post first, despite this not being the biggest “clout” post, it became obvious that there was only one right choice: the bananaball cast.

I joined this organization in 2022 and became part of the “cast” which was made up of a bunch of ragtag characters who just vibed with the crowd and filled in some fun in the spaces where the action wasn’t. Almost no one really had entertainment experience (mine was in trivia and lower level pro and not so pro sports), and we mostly just existed as a fun group with low expectations.

In 2023, I emerged as the mouthpiece for this group in front of and behind the scenes, and I became the Cast Director for Fans First Entertainment. Taking on this admin role in addition to being the host/Chief Potassium Enthusiast for thesavbananas was my ticket out of the classroom, and we quickly got to work overhauling this group, looking to make it something more.

In 2024 we made some strides and improved the talent pool. We even added the first cast members for another team in thepartyanimals …. And the bar started to raise.

In 2025, we created the first casts for all 4 teams, and things started to come together. No longer were we quite as ragtag… these were bonafide entertainers who could REALLY contribute to the Greatest Show In Sports, but we knew that 2026 would be a big task because the BBCL was starting… 6 teams, full schedules, and way more programming.

At the end of 2025, we had about 60-70 cast members (last photo)… But as 2026 began: we now had approximately 150. Coaching and coordinating this group was a major lift in addition to being a performer/producer/writer/director for parts of our show…. But I’ve loved it. Getting to work with so many talented people this year has been a true joy.

The Banana Bowl is the ONLY time that we have ever ALL been together at the same place at the same time. More than 100 cast members came together this weekend and helped put on the greatest entertainment event in history. Here we are (most of us), and this photo makes my heart full.

Look what we made.
