Lifelong Friendships 

I’d say the greatest blessing of building a business, especially in the outdoor industry, is the lifelong friendships that come with it.

MTN OPS has partnered with evashockey since basically the beginning. She is truly the huntress of this industry, has influenced so much and so many for good, and MTN OPS has been blessed to have a trusted, authentic relationship with her.

That relationship has grown into a friendship that Jenna and I both feel so blessed by. Jenna and Eva connected right away on a fly fishing trip to Alaska. After that, it only seemed right that I get to know Eva’s husband, Tim, so we went on a hunting trip to Africa together. And this past week, the four of us finally came together as couples in the elk woods.

Tim and Eva are down to earth and as good as they come. They are Christian people who love each other, love their family, and most of all, love Jesus. Almost every night, our conversations at the dinner table centered on Jesus Christ. Eva asks some of the most probing, thoughtful questions I’ve heard. They are both deep thinkers, and they are truly as genuine and kind as people get. We also laughed so hard my face hurt! 

On the last night of the hunt, Jenna and I watched with a few others from a mile away as Eva and Tim put a stalk on a herd of elk, and Eva was successful. We loved being there to celebrate with them as hugs, gratitude, and prayers were shared.

True friendship is built on genuine care and a desire for the success and well-being of another. Jenna and I feel that for Tim and Eva, and we feel it from them. 

We’re grateful to know and learn from a couple who knows how to conquer together. We can’t wait for our next adventure together.
