This morning I was blessed to meet at the mtnops gym with a handful of very good men for our monthly Connect & Conquer gathering.

After our workout, our conversation centered around our core value of the month which is DESIRE.

Much of the discussion focused on one desire in particular, the desire to align our will with the will of our Heavenly Father.

What a great desire. And I’m so grateful to surround myself with men who desire this in their lives.

Someone asked a simple but important question:

How do we really hear Him? How do we know what His will is so we can align our lives with it?

Just yesterday I had read this scripture, and I’m grateful it came to mind:

“Feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.”
2 Nephi 32:3

Sometimes knowing God’s will can feel complicated. But when all is said and done, I believe the path is actually quite simple and straightforward.

It takes desire. Commitment. Discipline. Consistency. And it starts by coming to the feast and I would say coming to the feast DAILY.

When we take time each day to feast upon the words of our Savior Jesus Christ found in the scriptures, His words teach us, direct us, correct us, and help align our will with His.

We each have an opportunity every single day to hear Him as we dive into the spiritual feast found in His word.

There is so much information at our fingertips, so many voices, so much content to consume. Of everything I could consume today, I never want to miss the feast that matters most.

I am so grateful that the answers to life’s most important questions will always lead us to and through Jesus Christ.

Let’s all come to the feast, hear Him, follow Him. How exciting!!!
