Jesus Christ is the way. What an adventure.

I’ve been blessed to experience a lot of adventures in life. Through my work, my hobbies, responsibilities I’ve been given in my church, and especially with my family as a husband and father.

But every one of those adventures has been blessed beyond measure because of my relationship with Jesus Christ.

Following Him is, by far, the adventure of a lifetime.

I look to Him as the perfect example of the leader I want to be in my work, in my church responsibilities, as a husband, and as a father.

Many of the adventures I’ve been on recently have required energy, courage, commitment, focus, and precision. They’ve required me to keep my eyes on the target and not look beyond the mark.

So it is with life. I need Him for the strength and energy to keep going. I need Him for the courage to move forward when the way ahead is uncertain. I need Him for the commitment to stay the course when it gets hard. I need Him for the precision to make the choices that matter most.

And most of all, I need to keep my eyes fixed on Him. He is the target, the focus, the way.

Above anything else I may accomplish, experience, build, hunt, climb, or conquer in this life, my greatest confidence, peace, and courage come from knowing that Jesus Christ is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. I know that He is my Savior and my Redeemer. All that is important to me in this life can be eternal, because of Him.

I am convinced that the greatest adventures in this life will always lead us to the open arms of our loving Savior, Jesus Christ. Run to Him, walk with Him.
