I’m behind on posting Kenzies mission email. This was from last Monday. She’s doing so good. Anxious to chat with her tomorrow. She’s had the best trainer ever, but she leaves this week and I know Kenzie will miss her so much. That said, it will be a new chapter for her and and opportunity to continue her growth in the mission with a new companion. We love her mission leaders the Generoso’s and all she is learning from them. She LOVES them and their daughter. 

Spiritual Thought (from Kenzies email):
A member in our ward, Aninha, came out and taught with us one night. We asked her to share a scripture at a recent convert’s house, and I love what she shared!

She read Alma 7:23: 
And now I would that ye should be humble, and be submissive and gentle; easy to be entreated; full of patience and long-suffering; being temperate in all things; being diligent in keeping the commandments of God at all times; asking for whatsoever things ye stand in need, both spiritual and temporal; always returning thanks unto God for whatsoever things ye do receive

After she read it she asked him a question. How do you show God you’re thankful? It made me think. How can I show God my gratitude? I love how this scripture talks about being diligent in keeping the commandments. We are often told that if we keep the commandments God will bless us, which is true and such a blessing. But I feel that we sometimes forget another important part. When we choose to keep the commandments, we are showing God how thankful we are and how much we love Him.

Continue to keep the commandments. Do the things God has asked of you. We have so much to be thankful for, express it all to God!
