In life, you are most powerfully positioned to serve the person you once were.

Today I was blessed with the opportunity to share my journey with a group of young adults at an event called 20s by Design.

It’s funny…I still feel like I’m in my 20s, but my body reminds me often that I’m not. And yet, what a defining decade that was. Some of the most shaping moments of my life came in those years. Marriage. Children. Failure. Success. Testing. Learning. Applying.

That cycle has never really stopped. Test. Learn. Apply.

But the most meaningful part of that journey, in my 20s, every decade before and every decade since, has been the connection I found with God, my Heavenly Father, through His Son, Jesus Christ, my Savior and Redeemer.

As I’ve tried to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ, I’ve realized I can’t compartmentalize my life, truthfully, I’ve never tried. I can’t be one person in one area and something different in another. That relationship influences everything. Every decision. Every role. Every arena.

I couldn’t share my story without recognizing His hand in it all.

He has been the greatest influence in how I continue to design my life. A life that I feel inspired He wants me to live.

What a blessing it is to trust in that divine design from a Father who knows each of us best and loves each of us most.
