Can you imagine, within the very hour after your sister and best friend arrives home from Brazil after being gone for 18 months, that you open your own mission assignment and get called to Brazil, to the very same region, in a bordering mission, to serve, teach, and love the people you have just watched your sister serve, teach, and love?

As the parents of these two beautiful young women, we cannot express with the least degree of words or emotion the joy we felt in that breathtaking moment, just an hour after Hallie returned home, to hear Kenzie read the word BRAZIL.

It was a déjà vu moment. Kenzie sat in the same spot Hallie sat two years earlier, opening her assignment with family surrounding her in love. We all felt the purpose of her call, the excitement, the reality, and the power of her opportunity to represent the Lord. And then came the news, Brazil.

We have come to love the people of Brazil. We have watched as they embraced and loved one daughter, and we now anticipate with great emotion the love and joy that will be part of Kenzie’s journey with these beautiful children of God.

This song rings true for so many reasons when I think of Kenzie’s life and this experience. She waited a week and a half for her sister to be home before opening her assignment. No wonder the Spirit prompted her to wait so they could share this sacred Brazilian mission moment together.

Kenzie’s life has been a GOD STORY and now she is going to tell the world what He has done for her. She is living proof that we are all only one prayer away from a testimony. I have watched her gain hers through simple, humble prayer, and I have witnessed God answer her in sweet and personal ways.

Now Kenzie will go tell the people of Brazil what God has done for her, and that He will answer their humble prayers too.

God is in the details, the very small, very significant, and very sacred details of our lives. The same God who created heaven and earth created us as His most cherished creation. He hears and answers our prayers. I witness that this is true.

My life is a God story, gotta to tell the world what He has done for me.
