Any gueses? Missionary Sisters…one returning, one departing…Our hearts might burst. 

On Wednesday, after an incredible reunion with Hallie coming off the plane from Brazil, we drove home with great anticipation to open Kenzie’s mission assignment.

I am not sure I could have waited a week and a half to open my mission call, but Kenzie did not want her sister to miss out. She selflessly and patiently put off knowing until Hallie could be by her side.

And then she too read the words:
“Recommended as one worthy to represent the Lord.”
“As you devote your time and attention to serve the Lord, leaving behind all other personal affairs.”
“Your purpose will be to invite others to come unto Christ.”
“Heavenly Father will reward you for the goodness of your life. Greater blessings and more JOY than you have yet experienced await you.”

What a powerful moment for each of us to witness the confirming peace of Kenzie’s mission assignment, and the life changing purpose of her responsibility as a full time representative of the Lord.

Jenna and I have no greater JOY in life than to watch our children learn, grow, and ultimately choose to follow Him. Our heart strings are being pulled in many directions, but it is so good, and so sweet. I am beyond grateful for the goodness of God, that He allows us to be part of the miracle found in sharing His gospel with the world.

With all the emotions being felt lately I feel to say, “Here’s my heart Lord, take and seal it.” All that is being given to us through opportunities in life to serve I see as a great blessing to seal our hearts to His.

Kenzie will read her assignment this Sunday at 7pm MT. Friends and family are invited to be with us, and we will go live here on IG to share her exciting news as well.
