I love what she shares below at the end of this email. Her last full week in the mission.

I was reading in 3 Nephi 17 this week and loved verses 23-24 that say:
23 “And he spake unto the multitude, and said unto them: Behold your little ones.
24 And as they looked to behold they cast their eyes towards heaven, and they saw the heavens open, and they saw angels descending out of heaven as it were in the midst of fire; and they came down and encircled those little ones about, and they were encircled about with fire; and the angels did minister unto them.”
Something super sacred and special to me is that I feel like I’ve gotten to be one of these angels to the kids and youth here in Brazil. I’ve gotten to pull them aside, give them an escape from the hard reality they live, sit with them on dirt floors and in dark alleys and I’ve gotten to teach them that they are children of God. I’ve watched them learn to pray, to read the scriptures, and I’ve seen the light within them begin to shine. I’ve seen as the church has become a magnet that pulls them in and as they come, they find a family that loves them. I’ve seen them shout for joy when they see us walking down the street to their homes and then the sadness as they hug us tight asking us not to leave. All that I’ve witness has not been thanks to me, but has been because of the sweet love of our Savior that these precious children have felt. These experiences are priceless to me and have given me a true testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ and His everlasting love and mercy.

See you all in 8 days!!
