Hunting Day 5 (1st Animal) : Our guides tell us that this day of hunting was one for their record books. 

First it was Jenna up with Kudu. We left the lodge at 4:30 am to travel to some Mountains called Asanta Sana meaning BIG Mountains and they were BIG. They reminded me of NZ with their rocky cliffs and grassy tops. Just as we started the ascent up a small mtn road Paul spotted a beautiful Kudu bull. Just what we had been searching for for 2.5 days. We all hoppedout of the truck made our stock over to get within distance, the wind was blowing at us and completely in our favor. It was a cold morning and this Kudu did not want to give us a shot always keeping itself pointed away from us. Jenna sat cold but calm behind the rifle until some time past and he made a deadly turn broadside. Jenna made an excellent shot and she had her Kudu. 

I’ve been trying to talk Jenna into going to Africa with me since the day I got home from my last trip there. After meeting the Jordaan family and gaining a comfort level for making the trek around the world we decided to go. Jenna truly is an adventurer and I’m grateful she is willing to try new and hard things with me. I have def been blest with the best!
