The big day is approaching! Wormie World is Saturday, October 17, 2026! This event is an annual Sacramento scavenger hunt where hundreds of handmade ceramic worms are hidden all around the city! If you find one, you get to keep it! The Sacramento History Museum has partnered with Wormie World to create an exclusive print from our print shop! It was designed by @karensuestudios! You can pick up your own free print on 10/17 from 10am to 4:30. There will also be wormies hidden throughout the museum store as part of the scavenger hunt!

Wormie passports with all of the participating businesses will also be available for pick-up at our Museum. Each store has a worm stamp and a free Wormie sticker for you to collect, while supplies last. The hints for the wormies hidden around town are posted to the @wormieworld_official Instagram and TikTok with hint videos starting at 8am and going until 5pm. Have fun, be safe, and good luck!! 🪱🎉😊

In this video, Brittany and Karen join Channey in the print shop to discuss Wormie World while letterpress printing a photo engraving including artwork made by Karen. The text, set in 30 point Caslon font, states “Wormie World October 17, 2026. This was printed with pink oil base ink using our Washington hand press, which was made in 1852.
