## Caption

Since it is the spooky season and for the lead up to Halloween, we are letterpress printing some of the odd, strange, and/or creepy cuts from the Lewis Winter Collection. This small electrotype, which is a copy of a woodcut, was made about 130 years ago and is from the Lewis Winter Collection.

The print depicts a man caught in or behind a spider web and he is not very happy about the situation. He actually looks quite terrified. This was printed with black rubber base ink using our Washington hand press, which was manufactured in 1852.
