One thing my wife will never be is… a Married Single Mother | Part 4

Just because my wife CAN do it all… doesn’t mean she SHOULD have to. I’ve never mistaken Nicole’s strength for an invitation to leave everything on her shoulders. Yes, she’s capable. Yes, she’s resourceful. And yes, if life required it, I know she’d find a way to make it happen.

But that’s not the life I promised her. Amen. 

I don’t want my wife having to be strong every  moment of everyday. I don’t want her feeling like everything falls apart the minute she takes her hands off it.

I want her to know she has a husband she can lean on. Someone who sees what needs to be done and takes responsibility without waiting to be asked. Because a strong woman deserves a marriage where she doesn’t have to carry everything just because she can.

Her strength is something I admire… not something I intend to take advantage of. 🤎🙏🏾
