CROWN MEANS NOTHING IF OUR WOMEN AREN’T SAFE.🛡️The New York City shelter system needs eyes, accountability, and real protection for the women living in it. So here is my plan to pitch to Mayor Mandami & City of New York. I’m putting it in writing. 📝🔥

1️⃣ DEEP STAFF SCREENING BEFORE ANYONE IS HIRED🔍
No one should work around vulnerable women without deep background screening, reference checks, and real vetting. Period.

2️⃣ WEEKLY SHELTER CHECKS — ONE BOROUGH A DAY🗽
Every single week, a dedicated inspection day for EVERY shelter in NYC:
📍 Monday — Manhattan
📍 Tuesday — Brooklyn
📍 Wednesday — Queens / Astoria / LIC
📍 Thursday — Bronx

3️⃣ WHO SHOWS UP👥
These checks will be led from the Ombudsman’s office, bringing: head staff, an analyst, 2 police officers, a health & sanitation inspector, a licensed social worker, and a representative from the District Attorney’s office. ⚖️

4️⃣ WHAT GETS CHECKED✅
🚫 Making sure NO client is being sexually assaulted, harassed, or manipulated/groomed
🚫 Making sure NO staff member is being abusive
🧼 Rooms and bathrooms cleaned and upheld to standard
🛏️ Beds WIPED DOWN and sanitized before every new client — no exceptions
🥗 Food checked: nothing expired, ever
✋ No clients fighting each other
📹 Camera checks: an analyst reviews a sped-up version of the week’s hallway and lobby footage at every check-in, so nothing slips through

Women in shelters are not invisible. They are mothers, daughters, survivors, future queens. 👩🏾‍🦱💚

This is my promise as your Miss Supraglobal USA 2027: I will use this crown to demand safety, dignity, and accountability for every woman in this city’s shelter system. 👑🇺🇸

Share this if you believe shelter women deserve protection. 🔁
