Amy was the closest person I have ever had to being a second mom.

I often recall staying over with Zeb and Casey and staying up until all hours of the night playing video games and her constantly checking on us to make sure we were always fed and taken care of.

I loved going over to her house after school and just hanging out with the guys. Did I mention she always kept us fed? That lady could cook! You could walk into her house after school to the smell of dinner on the stove. Or wake up in the mornings to cinnamon rolls in the oven for breakfast.

She was always there. She was always there for Zeb and Casey. I can still hear her cheering from the stands inside Memorial Stadium when her sons would take the field prior to games. She was so proud of them.

A few years ago, before she started her first rounds of chemo, she asked me to take a few photos of her. This morning, when I woke up to the news of her passing, I knew I had to locate where I stored those photos.

I found them, and as I went through each, the memories, the laughs, and the love she shared begin to replay in my head. This lady was pure gold.

She kicked cancer's butt for years and today she finally crossed the finish line.

We all love you so much and you will be missed every day.
