The Pittsburgh Steelers traded Joey Porter Jr to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2028 second-round pick and a 2027 sixth. Porter sat out the first three games of the season over his contract, and Dallas is not extending him right away either. So why did he say yes? Because this summer Pittsburgh paid Nick Herbig $100M, Darnell Washington $42M and Keeanu Benton $72M, three players from Porter's own draft class, and never made a serious offer to him. Mike McCarthy said in August he would love to coach Joey Porter. Six weeks later the team McCarthy used to coach has him.

The Cowboys are 1-2 with the 30th-ranked defense in the NFL after losing to the Ravens in Rio on a 56-yard field goal with no time left. Porter is in line to start opposite DaRon Bland, and Dallas plays the Texans on Sunday.

Did the Steelers get fleeced, or did Dallas just pay a second-round pick for a guy they still have to pay in 2027? Tell me in the comments.
