Ryan Murphy has revealed that ‘American Horror Story’ Season 13 was due to have a crossover with ‘Scream Queens’ but the idea was scrapped due to Ariana Grande’s tour.

Speaking to hollywoodreporter, he explained that he had planned to bring the Scream Queens into the AHS universe through Grande’s appearance in the show. However, conflicts between its production and the star’s ‘eternal sunshine’ tour meant that it was no longer possible.

“Ariana was touring and I couldn’t make it work. but she was like, ‘I still want to do it! I just can’t be on tour.’ So I was like, ‘All right, let me think of it,” he told the publication.

Not all hope is lost for ‘Scream Queens’ fans, though. The producer said that he still has hope to revisit the dark comedy slasher series, and the show’s core cast are also interested in returning.
