BREAKING: Antonio Banderas is Hernán Cortés. The Oscar-nominated, Cannes-winning icon is set to star in CORTÉS for utopaistudios, in a co-production with Hollywood heavyweight Ex Machina Studios.

Long considered unfilmable due to its scale and cost, Oscar nominee Nicholas Kazan’s (‘Reversal of Fortune’) screenplay has waited more than 35 years to be brought to life.

Now, Utopai Studios and a world-class creative team are making it happen, with Paul Mignot (‘Vaincre ou Mourir’) directing. Cameras have already started rolling in Paris, with Utopai Studios releasing the film in the US and Canada.
