I’m lazy and almost always have weeds in my garden, the bushes need trimming, and my front porch is the home to a beautiful family of wasps. BUT, if I were trying to sell, things would be different.

Here are three things I’d never do if I were trying to sell my home..

1. Ignore Curb Appeal: I would never let my yard look messy or uninviting. First impressions matter, and if the outside of my home looks bad, people might not even want to come inside. I’d always make sure to mow the lawn, trim the bushes, and maybe even plant some flowers to make it look nice.

2. Overprice My Home: I would never set the price too high just because I love my home. If the price is too high, it could scare buyers away. Instead, I’d do some research and ask my realtor to help me find a fair price that matches what similar homes are selling for. That way, I’d have a better chance of selling it quickly.

3. Neglect Repairs: I’d never ignore any repairs that need to be done. If there are leaky faucets, squeaky doors, or holes in the walls, I’d fix them before showing my home. Buyers notice these little things, and if they see problems, they might think the house isn’t well cared for. Taking care of repairs can help make my home more appealing.
