## Caption

We’re excited to welcome Stanford AIMI alumnus Dr. Christian Bluethgen back to campus- this time as faculty in the Department of Radiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Christian was previously an AIMI postdoctoral scholar, and we’re thrilled to see him return in this next chapter.

Dr. Bluethgen’s work advances multimodal AI in thoracic imaging, with a focus on orchestrating AI models within agentic systems to optimize clinical workflows and enhance diagnostic performance. He brings a uniquely interdisciplinary background from Heidelberg University, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Universitätsspital Zürich, bridging technical innovation with real-world clinical impact.

We’re proud to welcome him back to the Stanford community and look forward to continued collaboration as we translate AI innovation into practical healthcare solutions that improve patient outcomes.
