🌹 STORY BOOK 1169 | RUMI (1207–1273)

✨ One meeting changed his life. His poetry continues to touch the world.

Jalaluddin Rumi was a 13th-century Persian poet, Islamic scholar and Sufi mystic whose teachings on divine love, compassion and spiritual awakening continue to inspire millions.

Born in 1207, Rumi grew into a respected scholar and teacher in Konya, present-day Türkiye.

❤️ The turning point?

His meeting with the wandering mystic Shams of Tabriz in 1244 transformed his spiritual journey.

When Shams later disappeared, Rumi’s grief and longing found expression in extraordinary poetry.

📖 His celebrated works, including the Masnavi and Divan-e Shams, explore love, faith, loss and the soul’s search for God.

🌍 More than 800 years later, his poetry is read across cultures, languages and generations.

🌿 His wisdom for our lives:

❤️ Choose love over ego.
🌸 Turn pain into understanding.
🤝 Respect differences.
🕊️ Practice compassion.
📖 Keep learning.
✨ Look within for deeper meaning.
🌍 Bring kindness into the world.

Today’s lesson:

True greatness is not measured by wealth, fame or power, but by the love, wisdom and kindness we bring into others’ lives.

🌹 A kinder heart can help create a brighter world.
