C.J. Hicks Elementary in Conyers, Georgia, opened a free on-campus grocery store in fall 2025 with Goodr, the Atlanta company founded by Jasmine Crowe-Houston, and Kaiser Permanente.

School records since then show total absent days down 43%, from 1,286 to 733. Families can shop for fresh produce, dairy and more twice a week. Should every school have one of these? Tell us in the comments.
