This might be one of the most wholesome Pimp My Ride reactions ever because Quoc-Viet genuinely loved his Nissan 240SX before the makeover even started.

The car appeared on Pimp My Ride in December 2004, where Quoc-Viet had already tried modifying his 1989 240SX himself and even named it Silvia.

His girlfriend joked that he spent more money on Silvia than on her, while the car itself was held together with unfinished bodywork, loose trim and plenty of improvised fixes.

West Coast Customs then rebuilt it around Quoc-Viet’s love of Need for Speed, turning the 240SX into a wild video-game-inspired show car with upgraded styling, electronics and gaming hardware.

The episode became one of the more memorable tuner-car moments from the series because it captured exactly how attached enthusiasts can get to a project car long before it is anywhere close to finished.
