😳🧠 Watch and learn: your headlights are doing far more than simply making the road look brighter.

Only about a quarter of driving happens at night, yet roughly half of driver fatalities occur after dark, which is why visibility becomes so critical once the sun goes down.

Your headlights need to illuminate hazards far enough ahead for you to actually recognize them, react and stop, something that becomes much harder at higher speeds on unlit roads.

Your taillights and side markers matter just as much because they help other drivers judge where your car is, how wide it is and how quickly they are closing the distance.
⠀
Cloudy lenses, burnt-out bulbs and poor headlight aim can dramatically reduce usable light, while badly aimed beams can also create glare for everyone coming the other way.

So one of the simplest safety checks you can do is also one of the easiest to ignore: make sure every exterior light on your car actually works.
