🔥 Porsche is making one of its biggest strategic shifts in years, prioritizing fewer, more exclusive cars while developing an entirely new super sports car platform above the 911.

The new “Sportwagenschmiede ’35” strategy puts “Value over Volume” at the center, with Porsche targeting stronger margins instead of chasing maximum production numbers.

That means greater personalization, more high-end models, fewer lower-margin variants, and potentially significantly higher prices at the top of the lineup.

CEO Michael Leiters has confirmed Porsche is developing a new super sports car platform, with the company specifically teasing the potential for a future mid-engine flagship.

Porsche will give us our first official preview of that platform on October 15, which could offer the clearest look yet at what comes after cars like the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder.

The broader turnaround also includes roughly 9,000 job reductions as Porsche works to lower its break-even point below 200,000 vehicles annually and restore profitability.
