اطّلع سمو الشيخ حمدان بن زايد آل نهيان، ممثل الحاكم في منطقة الظفرة، على خطط واستعدادات تنظيم النسخة المقبلة من مهرجان ليوا الدولي 2027، الذي يقام تحت رعاية سموه من 11 ديسمبر 2026 إلى 2 يناير 2027.
 
جاء ذلك لدى استقبال سموّه مسؤولي وممثلي الجهات المحلية والشركاء المعنيين بتنظيم المهرجان، حيث استمع سموّه إلى شرح حول تحضيرات وخطط المهرجان، الذي تنظمه الدائرة بالتعاون مع مختلف الجهات الحكومية والمحلية ومؤسسات القطاع الخاص في منطقة الظفرة، لتكريس مكانته ليصبح وجهة عالمية تجمع بين التراث الإماراتي والرياضة والترفيه والسياحة.
 
وحضر الاجتماع معالي محمد خليفة المبارك، رئيس الدائرة، وسعادة سعود عبدالعزيز الحوسني، وكيل الدائرة، وفخري السراج، المدير التنفيذي المدير التنفيذي لقطاع الفعاليات والتجزئة وفنون الطهي بالإنابة في الدائرة.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, reviewed the plans and preparations for the upcoming edition of the Liwa International Festival 2027, which will be held under his patronage from 11 December 2026 to 2 January 2027.
 
This took place during His Highness’s meeting with officials and representatives from local entities and partners involved in organising the festival. His Highness was briefed on the preparations for the event, which is being organised by DCT Abu Dhabi in collaboration with various government and local entities, as well as private sector organisations in Al Dhafra Region. The festival aims to further establish its position as a global destination that brings together Emirati heritage, sports, entertainment, and tourism⁩. 
  The meeting was attended by H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, our Chairman; H.E. Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, our Undersecretary; and Fakhry Al Sarraj, Acting Executive Director of the Events, Retail and Culinary Arts Sector at DCT Abu Dhabi.
