So, I shared a couple of reels documenting the brutal treatment of protesters by the Delhi Police and showing how Hindutva goons, allegedly backed by the RSS-BJP ecosystem, appear to roam around freely. And what does Instagram do? It takes down the reels and tells me that the content may contain sexually explicit material or sexual exploitation.

Seriously, Instagram?

Videos documenting police brutality and political violence are being flagged under adult sexual exploitation. What exactly is going on here? Is this a case of automated moderation gone terribly wrong, or are we making it increasingly difficult to document and share uncomfortable realities?

When content showing violence against protesters is removed under a completely unrelated category, it raises serious questions about the effectiveness and accountability of these moderation systems.

Documenting violence is not sexual content. Sharing evidence of injustice should not be treated as a violation simply because it is disturbing or politically inconvenient.

We need transparency, accountability, and a fair review of these decisions. People should be able to document and discuss police brutality and political violence without having their posts wrongly taken down.
