Kevin Durant tearing his Achilles in the NBA Finals.

He was playing at an unreal level, and watching him go down like that was brutal.

The crazy part? Years later, KD still hasn’t lost a step. Same jumper, same scoring, same unstoppable offensive game.

One of the greatest recoveries we’ve ever seen. 🐐

KEVIN DURANT’S RIGHT LEG STILL SHOWS THE EFFECTS OF HIS ACHILLES INJURY?! 😳💔

A recent video of Kevin Durant walking in China has gone viral after fans noticed his right calf appears noticeably smaller than his left. Durant famously ruptured his RIGHT Achilles tendon during Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors, an injury that forced him to miss the entire 2019-20 NBA season.

What’s absolutely INSANE is that KD returned from one of the most devastating injuries in basketball and continued playing at an ELITE level. Achilles injuries can lead to lasting differences in calf muscle size, although it’s impossible to determine the exact cause from this video alone. The fact that Durant has continued dominating despite everything he’s been through is remarkable. 🐐

Kevin Durant is living proof of how incredible his skill, determination, and longevity really are. Seven years after that heartbreaking injury, he’s STILL one of the most gifted scorers basketball has ever seen. Just imagine what his career would’ve looked like if he never tore his Achilles. 🥹🏀
