A secondary outside Bordeaux was ransacked on Thursday (October 8). The vandals stole and broke equipment and lit a fire in a storage cupboard, leading to several hundred thousand euros worth of damage. ⁣
⁣
The incident comes as protests have erupted across France over an unequal, underfunded school system, overloaded timetables and extensive teacher absences. ⁣
⁣
"It is still far too early to tell you what kind of profile the individuals who acted in this way had," Public Prosecutor of Bordeaux Renaud Gaude told press.⁣
