Carbs! Fast-digesting carbs. Simple & easy on the stomach.

My Go-to's:
• Bananas
• Honey
• Bagels
• GoGo Squeeze
• Bobos
• Skratch Super High Carb
• Wild Berry Skittles

The priority is getting enough carbohydrates into the system in a form you can actually tolerate. The big three: Glucose, Fructose, & Cluster Dextrin. Combining different types of carbs can allow you to increase the amount you can comfortably consume and absorb when carbohydrate demands are high.

I'm incredibly sweaty. I'm always sippin' on some electrolytes.

Favorites:
• Redmond Re-Lyte (810mg sodium/serving)
• Podium Salt + Electrolytes (500mg sodium/serving)

Re-Lyte is the stronger choice when sodium replacement is the priority. Podium is a little more moderate and gives you the added taurine. Both great for daily & pre-race hydration with multi-electrolyte panels (sodium + potassium + magnesium + calcium).

The post-race shake is an essential. Especially weekends where I am racing multiple times (...all of them). It's a jumpstart on the recovery process.

What I'm Mixing:
• Tailwind Recovery Mix
• The Feed Lab Creatine
In the Spider-Man Ice Shaker, obviously.

Quick Alternate Option:
• Shamrock Farms Rockin' Protein Shake

Protein + carbohydrates + electrolytes in one drink. When it comes to post-race nutrition you want to consider aiding muscle recovery (protein) AND restoring glycogen (carbohydrates) AND replacing fluid/electrolytes (sodium + potassium).
