As much as people loveeee to use animal agriculture and it’s products as a scapegoat to climate change, science says that’s not true 🌍 #JuneDairyMonth

🐄 Animal ag actually accounts for less than 4% of GHG emissions in the United States

🌾 Grazing animals can actually help with carbon sequestration

💦 94% of water allocated to beef production is from natural rainfall

🥩 If everyone gave up animal products, GHG emissions would only decrease by 2.6%

🥛 Producing a gallon of milk in 2017 used 30% less water, 21% less land and emitted 19% less GHG than it did in 2007

🌽 Majority of land used for grazing animals is not suitable for growing crops

🚘 At the beginning of the pandemic, GHG emissions went down… while the amount of cattle stayed the exact same

Meat and dairy are INCREDIBLY nutritious, accessible and affordable options for people. And removing them would take that away, and NOT make the difference people claim for the environment 🤔
