💨 Winds can exceed 300 mph in the most extreme tornadoes.

🌪️ They can form incredibly quickly, sometimes developing within just minutes when the right atmospheric conditions exist.

📏 Tornadoes can vary massively in size — from narrow funnels just a few metres wide to enormous tornadoes stretching more than a mile across.

⏱️ Most tornadoes only last a few minutes, but some can remain on the ground for much longer.
